Mickey Mouse's Shadow

Lucas seen here sitting was going crazy over the shadow projected on the blinds. Gary thought he was playing with his own shadow at first and I had rough time photographing this as well. Luke was playing with the shadow of Mickey Mouse. I have a metal papertowel holder of Mickey. If you look closely you will see Mickey in the far right hand corner.
You can see Mickey Mouse more clearer here.

I finally turned on my flash to catch the kids happy to see Mickey Mouse's shadow.
Lucas calls Mickey Mouse, "Boo Boo Boo" It's too funny.

Food Glorious Food

This is my famous homemade Pizza we never go out for pizza and forget delivery cause Gary says this is his Favorite Pizza. His words are "Forget Pizza Hut!" Ah.. makes me feel good. For those of you who don't know Gary told me when we met that he hates pizza and popcorn! Those 2 items I could live on forever and ever. Well I later found out he hates frozen pizzas and really doesn't like cheese. So my pizza is to the left and his to the right. I make a mixture of hamburger meat seasoned with Oregano, sliced onions, bacon and somtimes mushrooms if we have them on hand. Cook items first together in pan then into the food processor. Just a few pulses and it makes this wonderful mixture Gary loves. I like more traditional pizza cheese and Pepperoni and Parm cheese I'm set. This time we had more on hand so I added mushrooms and olives to mine. I also like more cheese and Parm(I call it) Parmesan Cheese. Gary gets no Parm and less Mozz cheese. Thats the great thing about cooking it yourself. However you like it you can do it. Next desserts....
This is a Dark Chocolate Mint cake with crushed Andes mints on top. Believe it or not this is a boxed kit I found by Pillsbury it is beyond fabulous. Plus I can make it with or without the box kit. Gave me alot of ideas for Christmas time. We love our desserts and I make one every evening. Yeah surprising we aren't huge people for all the sweets we eat! giggles.

Peanut Butter Cups. I made these in a small muffin pan. No kit just think about it and this is very easy to make.

They were very pretty and very tasty!

A Butter Pecan cake. This was a cake mix I jazz up by adding chocolate icing and filling along with toasted coconuts inside and out.

Raspberry Pie. We got a can of Raspberries and I made a little pie out of it. Was very yummy. Jiffy pie crust was used. You just add water and roll into ball and let rise and go to town. I use a Pizza Cutter to do the strips.
Homemade Donuts. An old favorite. My dad begged me to make these when I was little. This is of course Powdered donuts.
Edward's favorite is chocolate iced with sprinkles. Lucas loves the donut holes. Gary loves the chocolate iced strawberry filled ones. One got over filled and leaked out the bottom. Gary loved that one! My fave is Powdered and Strawberry filled. Hey donuts are donuts!

Highchair Moments

Well we finally broke down and bought a high chair for Lucas. We found this at our local Flea Market for $5. It's wooden the old style high chair like one at a restaurant. We had to have it! Edward had the Mickey Mouse one by Graco it was huge and plastic and cost $55. Was junk if you asked me. I promised to never buy another one. Poor Lucas misses most meals as we either put him to bed or make him stand around the table like a dog. I told Gary we gotta do something cause the poor kid will never have table manners at restaurants if he stands around the table at home. So we bought a booster seat. Well it worked but Lucas did not stay in it as it had only one strap. So we found this and the price was a steal of a deal. Easy to clean and perfect not bulky and odd looking. Plus it sits lower to the table then the Graco style high chairs.
This is the 1st time Lucas used a metal fork and he went to town feeding himself.

Whenever I say its dinner time and make Edward wash his hands. Luke comes running to his chair and just points at it till someone puts him in it. Ed always washes his hands before we eat even more so now. I still ask him to and find his hands are already wet. He knows this is routine and I love that.
We had lasagna. And he ate it all up.

Daddy helps him fork it and then Luke goes to town.

Freedom Lake Park

Our favorite park got a facelift! Check out this new Floridian design! Plastic Palm trees and all!
The boys were so excited to come see it.

Lucas the fearless climbed right up those steps!

We went to Firehouse Subs and got hot subs, chips and a drink then ate here at the park this little fellow was right beneath my feet! I guess he gets fed here alot. I wasn't sharing and I kept screaming to Gary to make him go away!

Then once we chased the squirrel away the birds came upon us. Guess they get fed here as well. They were creepy.

We tried several attempts to get us all going down the slide together this is the only one we could get.

This is the lake hence the name Freedom Lake Park.

Lucas thinking he could climb out this way was too cute.

Luke on the slides.

I wanna go again, Mommy!
I had to chase the boys both down to get them back in the Hummer and leave!

Home School Beginnings........

I have begun teaching Ed a new letter each morning and we use that letter all day long.
Believe it or not we found this chalkboard in the dumpster here at the complex. People throw away the best items! It is an easel actually and one side is dry erase board and the other is a green chalkboard. We are going to put this into the boys room after it is properly cleaned. Ed just wanted to use it sooo bad today and I can't ever say no to learning.

He just learned how to write his name Ed and writes it over and over over again. Too cute had to take pics to share!

Big Boy Hair Cut

Ed wasn't happy about getting his hair cut but with his 5th Birthday around the corner I thought it was a must do!
See how short, how hansome.

My little baby is growing up!

Too cute for words.

Happy 4th of July!

Well the plan was to see this years 4th of July fireworks at Disney World. Once again the bills here are climbing and we decided to save the money for Edward's upcoming 5th birthday and just stay home and see the local Largo park fireworks. They were really worth seeing.
Lucas was very unsure of the Fireworks but he kept pointing to the lights as they sparkled in the sky.
Edward hated them and kept saying they hurt his ears. We parked in the baseball field high on a hilltop. Gary was showing off what his Hummer can do! We had a beautiful lake right behind us. We eventually put Ed in the Hummer as he just did not like the show. He watches them at Disney fine but here Oh No! Go figure!

This was Lucas' 1st view of the fireworks. He was scared and it was sooooo Hot! See how sweaty! Below is some video I captured to see just how loud the fireworks were. They were quite loud I thought on the video. We were far away as they were shot off at the park which was across two streets and down to the left. We parked here last year as it was Free parking and the view was great! Plus the Park is overly crowded with people and we would never have made it home in 10 mins with all the traffic. This was awesome this year was a little better as we parked by the lake and high atop the hilltop. Last year we parked below just on the grass but even then the view was great. Love to Celebrate America, the beautiful!

A Fort to Call Our Own

Well one of my foundest childhood memories was when my Mama a stay at home Mom at the time. Would make my sister and I a fort out of sheets and dining room table chairs. Eventually she bought us a pop up tent that I hosted many of my slumber parties in. So today I decided to build one for my kids. Now they want it up everyday. Needless to say I spoke to my Mama and she is on the hunt for a pop up tent for them! giggles.
The kids were right at home in their little fort.
Even Lucas took to the fort wanted to sleep there.

The boys ran under it together and brought toys in and out.

Lucas finally decides its time for a nap right under the fort. Ah... to be a kid again!! I did play in the fort too as Ed would not sit still for me not to be right there enjoying the fun!
