VBH 2014

This year for VBH we did Spy Academy and the boys had a blast.

 Lucas making his badge.

A close up of my badge.

 Edward's badge.

We made and ate bomb donuts which are simply mini donuts and red licorice sticks.

I like the chocolate ones best.

Edward however, loves the powdered sugar ones.

See the box Lucas is holding. At the end of each day their mission was to find the missing briefcase. Basically running around the house looking for the case. Inside was either a small toy or play money to use to buy larger toys at the VBH store.

Inside this Top Secret box is all the larger toys that are sold at the VBH store.

One of the other days we made chicken bombs. Which are spicy popcorn chicken nuggets with sparklers.

I lit the sparklers to lite the bombs. The boys got a huge kick out of that.

One of the days of VBH we had a red laser maze. Its just red yard stapled to the walls in zig zags.

This was a favorite game with the boys as they had to army crawl through the hallway into their bedroom.

Edward is so big it took him a tad longer then Lucas.

We changed the mission where they had to remain standing or at least try to while crossing the electric lasers.

Mission changed again with a closed door.

It was a laughter filled house and even Daddy crawled under the wires and pretended to get electrocuted and the boys got a big laugh out of that.

This was the VBH store. Many items for sale for all different prices. Great math game, right here and teaching kids the value of a dollar. They won money for finding the briefcase, memorizing the Bible verse for the day, re-telling the Bible story they had learned, being a good brother all week, and winning games.

Tootsie rolls & stickers for a quarter each and Cross mazes for 50 cents.

 Springs and spinning tops.

 Bouncy balls and Kazoos.

Larger prices were entire boxes of candy, plush toys, and other play toys I found at the $1 store.

 Secret agent drinking glasses.

Before you knew it, it was day 5 and VBH was coming to an end.

We had one last game which was pop the bombs.

Lucas attemping to pop the bomb by sitting on it.

He sat and it did pop!!

Edward took a plastic toy and tried to pop it other ways. Some were filled with play money. All in all it was another great year of doing Vacation Bible Home school. I really enjoy planning and doing this. We had secret missions each day and sang songs and did a performance for Daddy.
