Swashbuckling Fun..Pirate Party!

We had our 1st ever community party here at the complex. Well 1st for us anyways since moving here. Everyone had to dress in pirate gear and it was all Pirate themed. Ed was so excited he went around telling everyone we were going to a pirate party!
This was a pirate that was hired to play with the kiddos. Of course he joined our table and fought with Edward. Ed went up to all the guests and said, "ARRR Mateys!" They filled the pool with blow up swords, dolphines and bottles.

We bought Edward the hook and we all bought matching hats for the event. I had found my costume at Salvation Army for 50 cents!

Lucas wore a spongebob pirate shirt. Only costume he'd wear!

The community even put this banner up and told everyone our pool was the ocean!

I made Gary wear a hat. giggles. He was so upset when he saw all these other men dressed up in pirate costumes. He wished he would have bought one when I said to.

Of course a pirate party would Not be complete without everyone's favorite Pirate Capt Jack. We had about 3 big stand ups of him there.

See lots of people dressed up for the event. Alot of women were dressed like me.

A family shot. We had the property manager take of us.

As the night went on. Party started at 7pm we stayed will 9:30. They had BBQ brisket, chicken, and pork and potato salad and drinks and more. Then we had a raffle and we lost sadly.
Then as the sun finally set we watched Pirates of the Caribbean on the big screen across the pool. The weather was wonderful hot around 90 degrees with a soft breeze. No rain. Below is a video so you can see how pretty the lights were and the music playing in the background was all Caribbean themed. Was really enjoyable. You'll feel like you were there.
